And Malaka Gharib (@malakagharib on IG) is one of my favorites. She’s funny, quirky, and wicked smaht.

What a wonderful, touching book that takes us inside the Arab family inside the Arab world over a series of summers during Malaka’s tween, teen, and post-teen years. We get into the thick of it, man.
